I'm darn sure if it was pan flat I could go faster than 7:00/mi for a 5k. That 5k starts right out of the house up a false flat into a 8 to 11% grade hill ending in another false flat uphill for another 2/3 mile.

7:00/mi is still laughably slow compared to runners, runners who run faster than that by a whole minute for a whole marathon. Then again, I have zero desire to run 40 miles a week either.

I think a good goal is this year to maybe double down and get BOTH my 5k time and 10mi TT time down to 22min.
Dropping weight for cycling seemed to make my running exponentially faster. Not sure what your weight is, but if you don't mind getting really skinny your run times will drop.
