Been in this situation and found that 20 bucks in a worker's hand goes a long way. Consider it 20 bucks to stop a robbery, because thats what crushing classic bikes is.

That appears to be the splitting image of my Rockhopper. Mine's a few years newer, but same drop outs, same angles (to my untrained eye) are you going to try to go back semi stock or are you going to ratrod/restomod it?
