I can relate. My dad and his older brother both had heart attacks around 54-55. They had the family history, but they also had terrible lifestyles: ate too much, drank too much, smoked too much, had stressful, sedentary jobs. Coincidentally, my generation, my siblings/cousins are pretty fanatical about fitness--running, cycling, skiing, hiking, open water swimming, triathlon. We can't change our genetics, but we can change lifestyle.
