Maybe a slight premium for a premium brand that does a lot of R+D. Sure they sponsor some teams, so does Trek and BMC and Giant and others. What you do get is a lifetime warranty on the frame and fork, really excellent support and a well designed frame that will look quite nice.

There is more in a bike than just carbon and a name on the outside.
