Hope your wife recovers quickly. That is completely reckless behaviour on the part of the cyclist, and I do hope you do not lump all cyclists in with this particular one. You could file a police report for a hit and run, but it's unlikely that this person will be caught as there are really no permanent identifying features to go by as there would be for a vehicle.
