Mine is in a zipper bag with my wallet and that goes in my back jersey pocket. I want my phone to be with me just in case I get separated from my bike and can't crawl back up the embankment because my legs are broken. Scouts motto-- be prepared (though I wasn't a scout very long)
It's survived several crashes in my back pocket. Just like those race radios on many UCI cyclists backs survive their wrecks.
