My steel and titanium frames have Record BB installed on them. Keep the Campy thread locker in place and add some light grease such as white lithium to the BB shell threads, then wrap the BB cups with three wraps of teflon thread tape. It works perfectly on my frames. Never come loose and come apart without any trouble. My nickels worth of wisdom.
Many thanks for those suggestions, in particular that of the Teflon tape. My Ultra Torque BB has been ticking since I installed it a couple of years ago, so I'll try pulling it apart and using the tape to see if the problem goes away.
