Correct. The "Get Back" sessions were initially recorded with George Martin producing. But there was much bickering about the project, and it sat on the shelf for several months. The Beatles then recorded "Abbey Road" with George Martin and it was generally a good album. After they more or less broke up, the record label got Phil Spector to work on the "Get Back" sessions which were eventually released as "Let it Be," to mixed reviews. He put in some extras that some people liked but most people hated.

The guy may have been a musical genius, but clearly an easily unhinged one.
