I was going to suggest tires, but even the
Bontrager GR1 Team 40c are pretty nice. If you are only riding on road, maybe some slick tires, but not sure this will make climbing easier.
If you find yourself running out of gears, I'd start by changing the cassette to a 36T as mentioned above and ride it for awhile before changing the crankset.
