I used to count calories and plan all of my meals when I was back in college. It worked, at the time I was into body building so I would go through months of bulking and months of cutting.

Since I started cycling last year, my direction has been to over all fitness. Making the best choice when it comes to food, not over indulging, having ice cream when I want it, and I have seen really good results. I don’t keep track of my food, the only thing I do keep track of is my miles, and my steps and over all my health and fitness is better than when I was detailing everything I was putting into my body.

disclaimer: this is working for me now at this moment in my life, who knows what the future brings.
