I'm with you - it's not quite light enough (or warm enough) when I would prefer to ride in the AM. Most days lately, I've been starting work around 5:30 so that I can bag off for a couple of hours during the day if I have no meetings. Most days, meetings pop up. Agree on the wind too - I don't know why, but effort is perceived to be so much harder in the wind for the same output level and wunderground is a liar. There have been plenty of days where the "3MPH S" wind is more like 10 from every direction.
Yesterday would have been a great day to ride if not for the rain.
Deployed the full Craft rain suit yesterday to ride down to the bike shop. Made for a pleasant ride on the cruiser bike, despite all of the road grit I was kicking up. Spent five or ten minutes wiping everything down post-ride, but I was totally dry.
