When I was facing cancer pre-surgery I read the book title "The Metabolic Approach to Cancer" in which the authors suggest cancer patients should avoid stress, inflammation, and toxins. Mentioned along with oxidative stress was the term " long distance runners." I made the jump and associated that with ultra-distance cyclists. I eventually created a blog post regarding the book and a related video I found on YouTube where one of the authors is interviewed. See
