So many things on a bike that can go click ! Another one I experienced recently was a non-drive side crank arm. Clicking like crazy when standing with high torque. Thought it was my pedal clicking at first. But turned out to be a dry crank spline combined with uneven torque on the two crank arm mounting screws. A little grease on the spline and properly torqued mounting screws - no more clicking.
