Morally gray suggestion: steal a few milk crates for tools, supplies, parts, and current projects. Each crate is worth about $60.00, so make sure you don't try to lift more than a few at a time (MA felony theft = 250.00.) Because they hold a fair amount of weight and are easy to move, milk crates are great for storage in shared spaces. Also: those small parts holders made by Dewalt/Milwaukee/Bosch et al. are great for holding little bits and pieces; I have two of them, and they hold just about all of my washers, bolts, and weird fittings for particular parts.
