That circuit has been used multiple times with some variations for many men's and women's world class races over the years. One high point was when Steve Bauer won the race held on the circuit which was later named after him. Riding the circuit can be fun, but most of the time automobile traffic can be pretty constant, so you have to pick your times. My favourite cycling race memory was watching the first ascent of the climb during the 1974 world championships as they reached the top of the climb. I could hear them shifting into their high gears to accelerate at a place where I would have been catching my breath and panting. It showed me just how strong and tough pro cyclists were
