I just use it on my chain, but it tarnishes them a bit.
I've been using it for several years now. For bike cleaning, I use dilluted with water (1 is to 10 approx) and dish detergent. For chains, I use full strength with the parktool chain cleaner scrubber, then rinse with water there after. If I take the chains off, I soak full strength with dish detergent and scrub the chain with a chain brush (finish line grunge brush). Then rinse and dry. You should not soak the chains a long time (like several hours). I have not noticed any tarnishing. Smells good too!
