With a chain prep for wax, I’ve read all of the steps and have a question for you. Have you ever used a citrus degreaser instead of mineral spirits? What about the last step with a solvent like acetone? My preference is not to use harsh chemicals I can’t dispose of.
I tried a citrus degreaser once. Smelled ******g horrible, gave me a migraine, and didn't seem terribly effective in this application - maybe it was just the brand/type that I used, though. I've only used mineral spirits and DNA, since. FWIW, on the MSW chain prep instructions, they do mention both citrus degreaser and acetone as alternatives -
