You can get a quill stem that accepts 31.8 bars with your 1” threaded fork. Origin8 has one and there is another Taiwanese company that markets the same stem with a slightly different finish & graphics. It would allow you to run 31.8 carbon handlebars & look better than a threadless stem/quill adapter combo - in my opinion.
with that said, Nitto does make a classy quill adapter for threadless stems if you decide to go that route.
Are you thinking of another black anodized stem or silver anodized?
