You can get quite a good speed going with it. It is Ok for short distances over smooth terrain but not a patch on the Dahon. You certainly get some attention when riding it though.

It was not expensive. I got it from ebay (new) for 75 euros.

No problem taking it on public transport. I have a strap with keyrings on either end that can be clipped to either end of the bike so it can be just slung over my shoulder.
