Today, I went out on the Merlin for a short ~15 miles or so. It's been a while since I rode this bike. A few months back, I mounted some too-big 27mm tubulars on this bike that just barely had enough clearance. But then I broke a spoke on a ride and I had to do some aggressive adjustments on the adjacent spokes to true the wheel enough to get home. I finally got around to mounting some smaller 25mm tires (thanks @hazetguy), and I was reminded how nice the Merlin rides.

A herd of goats in Tilden Park. They move the herds around to keep the underbrush low in order to mitigate fire risk.
