There were Alien models with rectangluar main tubes produced in both steel and aluminum. The steel model was called the Alien ACX. It used Tange Prestige and was manufactured during 1990-1991. The aluminum version was manufactured from 1991 to 1993 and was called the Alien AL (1991), Alien SP (1992, with suspnsion fork) and Alien (1993, with suspension fork).
T-Mar - Thanks for the information. I bought the bike as a frame with a suspension fork attached. I'm not sure if the fork is original or not. It is a steel framed bike and still has the black with blue spatter paint in so-so condition.
It's a project bike to be sure, I haven't decided which way to go with it as I build it back. Maybe retro with updated components.
