Last week began with my wife and I checking the gear we were planning to take on a tour next month. We had a few hours of panic when we could not find our tent. It was not in its usual spot, which was a mystery, as we keep our gear pretty well organized. We finally remembered that we packed it when we were notified of a potential evacuation due to wildfires burning north-east and south-east or our town last summer. It still took us another hour to find it.
We wanted to set the tent up and familiarize ourselves with it, because we only used it a few times in 2019 when it was new. While looking at the tent my wife had an idea: let’s just do a S24O at one of the five very nice state or county parks located within a 20 mile radius of our home, and check out all of our gear. We were glad we did, and it was fun.
