You get points for not having a kick stand. You'd be surprised at the damage they do.

The bike actually came to me with a clamp-on kickstand, but there are only very light marks in the paint on the underside of the chainstays. It was very relieving. I've looked at bikes for sale a few times where the stays were almost completely crushed by the overtightened kickstand.
