Tacx Vortex - how common is there to be a power discrepancy between erg and level?

I've read complaints that Tacx Vortex, or even all wheel on trainers, will overestimate power output when in ERG mode, but be pretty accurate in level/slope mode (as verified by crank/pedal power meters.) I don't know if those people are using the small ring/big cog method to keep flywheel speed down.

No big deal, except my ramp test is done on level mode but all my structured training sessions on Sufferfest/Systm are on ERG mode (based of the FTP done on that ramp test). So I might not be producing the power that the workout calls for.

I don't have a power meter to measure power on ERG vs Level mode. Also, I'm just back into riding, and I don't have the knowledge or experience to say "this interval doesn't feel as hard as it should." I'm doing a tempo block now as I ease back into riding, and the workouts haven't been very taxing, but maybe that's right for tempo sessions.

Is that discrepancy so common that I should adjust the intensity of the workouts (which I can do easily in the app) as a matter of course to correct it? If so, how much? 10%?

Thanks.
