That's what did in my Great-grandmother, 3 days after her 100th birthday. She never came out from under the anesthesia. It's possible they have learned how not to kill old people with anesthesia in the intervening 45 years, but The Docs will know better.
I think it had more to do with the struggle of rehab, for some reason.
