The law sees thing differently than some people do around here, and it's

I interpret the laws a little differently. I don't believe the laws say "used
as a bicycle." I believe most either say or imply that e-bike can be treated/classified
like a bicycle. E-bikes are still e-bikes, but those meeting certain requirements can be treated like a bicycle in specific situations, e.g., use of bike paths, bike lanes, registration, license requirements etc.
Some e-bikes' use/privileges are the same as a bicycle, but they are not bicycles in the traditional sense.
