We'll need to see what the marketing hype dictates; maybe more companies will go on the "two smaller batteries" bandwagon (use just one for shorter rides, two for longer). My LeBS, Luna Cycle, can't seem to keep their 52V, 6 ah, 3.5 pound batteries in stock. I used one to assemble a light mid-drive.
