The universal component that works (both aesthetically and functionally) with any build is going to be a unicorn. There's always going to be some frame or other component with which it will not be compatible. For instance, the OP's Mountech front derailleur won't be compatible with frames having a front derailleur hanger or oversize seat tubes. The only thing mentioned so far that would be universal is handlebar tape, but is it really a component?
