Sometimes older frames are Cro-Mo main tubes, with high-ten stays, and those are pretty crappy. If your bike is 100% Cro-Mo, then it's just basic 4130 steel, no different than a Surly, or any number of other steel frames. It's light, lasts a long time, and offers a solid ride, and was free! What kind of frame is it, anyway?
