I wish. Last time, when it was so effing cold, some people in the outlying areas of the county got excused because their vehicles wouldn't start. The Court actually gets off cheap with bike commuters like me; they pay car drivers to park in the nearby ramp ('course, that's just one county coffer to another). But I'm not one to shimmy out of jury duty. It is someone's day in court, a right that any of us may have to exercise one day or another.

Well a bunch of cases were settled/dismissed, so they cut the rest of us loose at noon. Back to the office grind.
