Exactly. And when it fails, the system is D-E-D, dead. And, the normal charger won't bring it back, you need the fancy PC Link Device, which most shops should have. The recovery takes about 3 minutes, and of course your time to take bike to the shop and whether they will fit you right in or it gets to spend a few nights there...
