I was burning myself in the kitchen for years before my hand regained sensation. My pinky finger took the longest to heal. Over ten years!

You are going to be fine. Allow yourself the time to recover. My hand was like a withered chicken’s foot for almost two years after the surgery. It looks almost normal now but it was some time before people stopped asking what happened to it.
