I did own a carbon fiber Fuji road bike for a while. It was a nice bike but I am enjoying the $25 steel hybrid just as much. That must really bum you out, sad man.

I'm not passing judgment on your $25 bike, and I'm glad that you are enjoying it. I do pass judgment on unsubstantiated claims, however.
I was objecting to your claims about your $25 bike compared to a $1500 Surly or a $3000 road bike -- it seemed like you had no experience with either of the latter. And it still seems like that is correct, unless that Fuji cost $3k, in which case I will take your claim (partly) seriously.
