Clyde ride... My first "real" adult bike. 1986 KHS Fiero, bought from a bike shop as a bare frame in 1989. I built it from "stuff" but rode the hell out of it.

This pic is from 1990, Honolulu Advertiser Century ride... I was on active duty Navy at the time, weighed about 225/230.


Same bike a few years ago, after a complete overhaul to include Shimano 105 5600 2x10 brifters and mech, FSA compact crankset. My weight in this pic is probably 350...


And present day... I weighed about 255 at that pic...



2006 Cannondale CAAD8, my reward for reaching 240 pounds. Nearly 140 pounds weight loss.

The Performance Access XCL 9r Monster Cross bike above is a true Clyde bike. I rode it without fear when the other bike bike seemed "small".
