good to see some folks riding in vintage shoes too!

I understand that slotted cleats and toe straps just don't work for some folks, but I do enjoy seeing black shoes with perforated uppers, gleaming toe clips, etc. Plus, getting into toe clips is one of those little skills that are as essential experiences as friction shifting and really having to squeeze the brake levers if you want to stop.

Of course, one key to wearing vintage shoes is actually finding vintage shoes! I was fortunate to grab a few pairs when they were going out of style, permitting me to continue to use them with my vintage bikes.
