I’ve bought and sold a ton of stuff on CL. I love CL. I am a huge fan. I honestly don’t remember ever having a no-show. I’ve driven two hours to buy a bike frame. Another time a buyer drove 4 hr from Reno to buy a car from me.
When you present yourself as a serious person who communicates in complete sentences and sets clear timelines, you give off the expectation that you are a serious person. When you communicate in monosyllable text talk and give off the impression of ‘whatever… I don’t care’ , then the other party feels no guilt in flaking on you.
