To be clear, nobody is asking how computers work, this thread is about whether the 1030+ is a good buy, and about @NoWhammies concern that the 1040 will have features the 1030+ doesn't that he'll regret missing out on.

Garmin isn't a non profit. They want to sell the new thing they made.
