Are you asking about heat buildup? I don't have any direct experience (I use Ridenows but with alloy rim brakes), but from what I've read you should probably avoid them if you're doing long, steep descents. Also, you might want to ask in the General Cycling Discussion forum, since you'll probably find more respondents there.
I'm not sure how smaller rims impact rim brake heat compared to 700c. Anyone know?
