Good list. As a fellow Michigander though, maybe you can relate to this. My wife, also from Michigan, likes to tout that it’s a “Michigan thing” to (marathon) drive on long vacations…24 hours to Florida…three days to California…several hours “up north.” That’s what I tell people from the Northeast when they’re amazed I drive 700 miles from Boston to Michigan in one day by myself.
