I think I should start building lower spoke count wheels. These 36°ers take so much time to lace and tension.
And with straight-gauge spokes! No wonder they're on the portly side, but you should have no fear bashing them into anything. And great job; they look well-made.
AG had a set laced by a friend with the valve between spokes that crossed closest to the rim...
