I have a constant trickle of bikes through my shop. So, I can't be waiting around for consumables. I try to keep a hefty supply of drawn steel cables, lengths of housing in various stock colors, bar tape, chains (8 speed through 11 speed) saddles, tires, tubes, rim strips, and sundry bobs and bits like cable crimps, ferrules and brake pad inserts. If a bike needs a freewheel or cassette, then I order it immediately upon check-in and exam of the bike.
