Most of the time I don't question when people ask me to help them design something unique. I figure it is a learning experience for the both of us. If I know something won't work, I will usually try to dissuade them from pursuing it. In the case of this model, it is the first scenario. To attach to a seat post I design all the clamps pretty much the same, two M3 x 16 mm socket head cap screws and two M3 nylon insert lock nuts. All hardware can usually be found at local hardware stores or home centers worldwide.
