Our garage door opener is engaged with the door and unplugged, which serves as an effective lock, but we also have two bolts screwed to the door that go into holes in the track.
All of our cars have built in clickers, and we park them in the garage. Fortunately, our neighbors generally feel the same way as I do - that cars belong in the garage when not in use.
Of course, we have all the joys of regular hailstorms and extreme heat, both of which provide plenty of incentive to keep them in their little homes when not in use.
