Chris routinely did over 4500 FPH in the Low Key Hill Climb races series during the time that I raced the series in NorCal. In fact, most of the better male climbers are above 1000 VAM or 3000 FPH.

The key to having a big VAM is a steeper constant grade climb but not too steep.
