Several TV’s working longer than the Garmin, no failures and all cheaper than the Edge 1000.

My friends who went through Camille were well prepared for Katrina. It wasn’t like there was no warning. They had no accidental on purpose losses.
Two are bad? Thought it was just the one. Oh well still not sure why you think electronics should last forever.

I went through Camille too. I was prepared for Katrina. The 20 feet of chain rode and the 50 pound CQR anchor were never found even though diligently searched for. Suspect the line might have been cut by someone after we left it up in the river where others take their boats for such storms. We floated the boat two weeks after Katrina, cleaned it up, rebuilt the engine and it sailed beautifully till sold a few years ago.
