Finally got around to taking a shot of my '88 Rockhopper Comp retromod. Got it all original (except for the RockShock Indy fork) from my dad. The drivetrain was too well used, so I grabbed some spare parts and updated it. At this point the only original parts are the frame, seat post, rear U-brake, and the fork.
I may still convert it to a drop bar to see if it will be as fun as the '89 Rock Combo I use to have.
Love that color! I'd look for a used LX or DX rear deraileur so at least it will look more period correct with the nicer old school stainless steel deraileur. There's plenty of them out there. Just a thought.
