That is so funny, I do, too. I make sure everything is ready to go. When I get up, I turn on the espresso machine to heat up before I do anything else.
I have a cup system. If the cups are upside down, it's ready for the morning. If they're not upside down when I'm wrapping up for the night, I know to take care of whatever before going to bed.
Also, highly recommend that you get a timer/smart outlet - have the machine wake up at least a half hour before you do.
