After the RR last week where I blew up a new (to me) rear wheel in a big crash that ultimately black flagged the whole race, I got another start yesterday in a crit. This one was on a purpose built crit track, which is just really awesome; cambered turns, no oil from cars, etc.
Field was about 30 and I finished up 5th. It was all pretty cagey and I think everyone was getting used to the pace and the circuit. I tried to bridge to a move that was eventually brought back, and probably should have tried to attack more.
I beat my buddy to 5th with a bike throw on the line, so that was cool. The top 5 were all separated by a couple bikes, so that was gratifying as well.
