Honestly the only good option would be to match it up with carbon fibre fenders of course.

Alternatively there are various aluminum (light), stainless steel (less light but stronger) and plastic (Cheap and reasonably light) options around.

No feedback on the chipseal, it's ancient tech around where I live and only backcountry roads that haven't been taken care off in decades still have them but apparently they advise car drivers not to exceed 35MPH to prevent stones from being kicked up. There might be some truth to it.
