I had a near miss that would have been pretty embarrassing. I was rolling up to a stop light, and standing up getting ready to put a foot down, and squeezed the front brake just a bit too hard, when I wasn't braced for it, shifting my weight forward. I'd have gone ass over teakettle at 5 mph in front of a bunch of cars and other cyclists, but I managed to let up on the brake and shift my weight back and down, and come to a somewhat graceless stop.
